…Our trip was very well organized. We were impressed by the hotel locations which allowed us to walk to nearby attractions such as Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain in Rome as well as the Duomo and several Piazzas in Florence. We were also pleased that we had taken the five meal option. Those meals were very enjoyable and some offered us the chance to get to know the other eight people in our group…

All of our transportation was timely and the drivers, especially on the Amalfi Coast route, were cordial and clearly experts in the areas.

Our tour captain…was upbeat, positive and took everything in stride. She was knowledgeable, kept us organized and on time, attentive to our needs, and got us everywhere we were supposed to be. She always had a smile, shared her insights on the city or region we were in, and went out of her way to be helpful…

We would definitely travel with Queenslander again (and) would recommend the company to our friends….

We had simply the best vacation that we have ever taken. I cannot think of anything that I would change…The itinerary that you have put together was ideal. The whole trip was top drawer. Captain Dan was great. He made sure we got every bit of the experience promised us. No detail was missed. There was ample "alone" time to balance all the stuff on the tour schedule. In short, QueensLander knew exactly what they were doing, and did it phenomenally well.
Restuarants were great, hotels were tops - and in best locations.

We had to write to you to tell you what an absolutely fabulous time we had on this tour! Out of 5 stars, we would give it an 8!!!

Having worked for an airline for 25+ years, I was not totally on board about going on a tour…After experiencing the Italy’s Great Cities tour…I would not hesitate to take another Queenslander tour and would recommend it to anyone who is interested (in fact, I’ve already done so on a trip advisor forum)

Dan was the best! He made every person in our group feel important and special and went out of his way to make our trip so enjoyable! Even before the trip, Dan called us at home and talked to us to make sure we had all our questions and concerns addressed…our friends were astonished – they couldn’t believe that we got a call from our tour captain before we even left. So when we got to Venice, we already felt like we knew Dan which went a long way to making us comfortable and at ease.

This was just our introduction to how wonderful a time we would have.

Every detail was planned, nothing was overlooked. Great restaurants, great local guides, but most of all, a great tour manager. People went out of their way wherever we were to make sure we had a good experience…Everyone in our tour group had a great time...Thank you for finding such wonderful tour captains and for planning such a wonderful itinerary and experience..

I can not say enough good things about every aspect of the tour.
You are more than welcome to give my email to anyone considering this trip. Janette was fantastic as were all the knowledgable city guides. The itineary was perfectly planned and executed making the very most of our time, no waiting in lines for us! I really can not believe all that we were able to accomplish in a relatively brief time.

I loved the hotels and they could not have been in better locations, the dinners were superb and all the extras like the gondola ride with music, appetizers and champagne on roof tops and the winery were experiences I could never have had on my own. The free night Janette took several of us to the top of Florence where we had another outstanding meal with phenomal views of the city. She gave us great recommendations for whatever we were interested in and was always giving us information and stories about all the cities and historical sites. I can't believe how much I learned and how interesting it was.

It was the best vacation I have ever had. I highly recommend your company and the outstanding value you provide. My fellow travelers were a great group of people. Everyone was easy going and enjoyable. Absolutely a 5 star trip. Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for such an amazing tour. All of our hotels were impeccable and I was not disappointed at all. We loved Sorrento just as you said and Florence was our favorite!

I also wanted to tell you how happy we were with our tour guide, Jodie! She was such a pleasure to spend 10 days with. She is always happy, patient and we learned a great deal of information from her. We enjoyed all of her dinner recommendations and she put a lot of thought into making sure that Gianna (4 years old) was always entertained. She was always available for any questions we had and was very flexible with our family as we decided to do or not to do various tours. Never did she seem upset with our cranky kids or tired of dealing with us.

By the end of this trip our family really feels that we gained a new friend!

We just wanted to once again personally thank you and Queenslander for the best family vacation we have ever had…we were totally blown away by the way we were taken care of every minute of the tour, from the first meeting at the airport in Venice to the bellini on the boat to our hotel to the boxed breakfast arranged when we had to leave at the crack of dawn to make our connections home. Beautifully planned trip - every detail was so well thought out. All of our needs were attended to and accommodated, and you thought of all that we had not even considered! There were so many delightful surprises! I just had to write you to tell you what a magnificent time we had on the Queenslander Tour. Getting there was a bit trying with not knowing if we could go until only a few hours before we were due at the airport because of the Icelandic volcano. It was worth the extra effort. After talking with you several times we had very high expectations that I must say were surpassed. We were a little disappointed to find that we were the only ones who made it to Milan and that another couple would join us later for only a few days. We can truthfully say that once we got there and met Sandy Gregory all our concerns were dismissed. We found her to be very service oriented, fun to be with, and knowledgable. This was a different way for us to travel, but everything was just great. We came to regard Sandy as a dear friend in a very short time. The hotels were quaint and romantic, the restaurants selected with care, the itinerary great. Sandy works really hard to make you proud of her and provide her clients with a memorable experience.

We definitely will keep Queenslander and your super staff and goals for quality service for touring in mind as we plan future trips.

You probably do not remember this, but when I called you last fall asking for information on your company and your tours (because I had never heard of Queenslander), I explained that my mom had always wanted to go to Italy and never had the chance. I told you that 3 years ago, as she was battling breast cancer, I promised her that we would go as soon as we could. She looked forward to it all through her treatments, sort of like a bit of light at the end of a tunnel. That's how important this trip was to her and I remember asking you why I should trust you with it. And you told me. I just wanted you to know that you and Sandy more than delivered on what you told me that day. Thank you so much for making this trip so special for my mom. I will always be grateful.

But I couldn’t wait until you got it in the mail to tell you what a GREAT trip I had. Thank you so very much, for all the upgrades, all the attention to detail you afforded me with this very important graduation trip with my daughter. We will never forget it. What I was most impressed with is the quality and integrity of your tour captain, Dan Dieckhaus. I can’t tell you how much we adored him. He was thorough, courteous, helpful, entertaining and always sensitive as to how every member of the group was doing and whether or not they were enjoying themselves. He took all our preferences into consideration… He was always there early to remind us about our itinery or dining plans… Helped suggest different routes for walking tours… He took time to help us understand and plan our post-tour details with the train and other unknowns that we would be facing.

In a nutshell, we felt extremely well taken care of during our entire 10 day adventure on the tour. It was clear that Dan really wanted us to have a positive experience, and I will not hesitate to recommend Queenslander for any of my friends or family that wants a great tour of Italy. This letter is written in recommendation of Queenslander Tours. Our program took a group of 19 people on a tour of Australia that lasted 14 days. Our purposes were educational and recreational and our group ranged from 11 years to 84 years. We visited Sydney, Darwin, Alice Springs, Ayer's Rock, Cairns and Brisbane as well as New Zealand.

We found Queenslander Tour to be an ideal company for people who wanted to travel safely and desired to have flexible arrangements for a wide range of ages and interests. Our tour captain was able to make every arrangement without any anxiety or problems on the part of our group. People were able to take special interest side trips without any problems. The advice given about what to see and what not to see was flawless, and the choice of travel alternatives within a geographic area was exceptional. Even more important to us was the chemistry between the tour captain and the group. Our tour captain led and encouraged spiritual activity on the part of the group. When someone didn't want to participate they were not coerced, but the spiritual leadership was there. In addition to this, the group leader worked at developing friendships with members of the group and took special interest in our minority group - the children. We found the prices to be good, the leadership excellent and the spiritual nature of the leadership to be exceptional.

Now that we have all returned safely and have once again taken up our respective appointments, I feel a need to sit down and write you regarding the tour to Australia.

I know that you have not been working with the travel business very long, especially considering your age, and this serves to confirm my feelings with respect to the great amount of organization and preparation that went in to the planning. I have been on many tours in my life and have had the chance to lead tours that have been organized by independent agents, and considering the amount of travel that we undertook and the occasional isolation that we were a part of, I can say without reservation that I was continually impressed and amazed at the quality and performance of you and your staff. The hotels were exceptional, the flights and transfers for our part were smooth, and the tours and tour guides were first class. All the tour participants were very pleased with the tour and this was indicated recently at our reunion when people travelled as far as Texas and Alabama for a four-hour reunion.

Several parts of my trip were memorable to me including the attention given to the tour members from orientation to our flight over: It really made for a wonderful start to get to chat with the pilots on the flight deck of the 747 which Mark had arranged in advance. What an experience!

I'm so glad Mark encouraged me to go snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef; I wouldn't have done it if you hadn't. It was a feast for the eyes.

TROPICAL FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND
The train trip to Kuranda was exceptional. It was nice to have some free (shopping!) time balanced with the tour; and it was very educational to go to the Tjapukai Cultural Center after that spectacular ride the SkyRail back down the mountains of the rainforest.
