EXTENSION ITINERARY
Day 1 | North to Italy’s Lakes District
This morning enjoy 1st Class travel European style on the EuroStar from Rome to Milano. Our journey is about 4 hours or so and you have opportunity to see much of the Italian landscape as we head north. Upon arrival we board our private transport to our hotel in the Italian Lakes District and Varenna on Lake Como.
Hotel: Albergo du Lac – centuries-old lakeside mansion with quiet terraced garden or Villa Cipressi.

Day 2 – Bellagio, Lake Como
Walk from hotel and and enjoy the ferryboat ride to Bellagio (The Pearl of the Lake) with its fine shopping (silks), dining and strolling. Optional ferry to one of Lake Como’s famed villas: Villa Carlotta.

Day 3 – St. Moritz, Varenna
Optional day trip by private car and rail on the Bernina Express through the Alps! Arrive St. Moritz, Switzerland for some free time and then return. Return to Varenna evening. Or you can opt to relax in Varenna and stroll through the Villa Monastero Gardens.

Day 4 – Lake Orta
Depart Lake Como for either Lake Orta and the picturesque town of Orta San Giulio, with its beautiful lakeside Piazza OR head to Milan for the trainride to Venice to start the Great Cities Tour. Dinner on your own tonight.
Hotel: Hotel San Rocco
Day 5 - Free Day
Maybe take the Taxi boat (5 minutes) to the tiny island of San Giulio with its church and famed circular “path of silence.” Relax on the hotel's large terrace with pool. Enjoy lakeside and mountain views, restaurants and shops

Day 6 - Flights Departing Italy or extend your vacation!
