GREECE VACATION 2010: Athens, Corinth & Santorini

Day 1 | Depart for Greece. Yes, we can arrange your air travel from the QueensLander air department. We’ll work with you to get the absolutely lowest-fare available based on your travel preferences. We utilize both our own air department and online agencies to find the best rate. Arrive in Athens

Day 2 | Welcome to Athens Enjoy a tour of Athens, combining many of the cities principal modern and classical sights. This tour includes an overview of the modern city and striking contrasts to the remains of its glorious past. Drive by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution Square, the Panathenian Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896). See the Presidential Palace (ex Royal Palace), government buildings and elegant homes. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue and see the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University, National Library and Omonia Square. In contrast, we visit the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and the crowning beauty and glory that were Athens, the Acropolis with its many monuments atop its rocky base, including the awesome Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheum with its Porch of Maidens. ·

Day 3 | Athens | Corinth Canal |Cenchreae Starting from Athens we drive westwards along the scenic coast, until we reach the Corinth Canal with its breathtaking views (short stop). Shortly thereafter we reach the ancient town of Corinth (visit) where St. Paul lived and preached for two years. Back in the ancient times Corinth was amongst the richest cities and this is quite evident by its remains, including the huge agora (market place) and Apollo's Temple (6th C B.C.), brief stop at the site of the ancient port of Cenchreae where the apostle Paul disembarked. Return to Athens at noon and transfer to Santorini. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 4 | Free day in Santorini Enjoy a free day in Santorini and explore the city of Oia, that sits precariously on the edge of the red and black cliffs overlooking the deep blue sea, and is widely regarded as Santornini’s “must see” sight.  

Day 5 | Free day in Santorini Enjoy a leisure day in Santorini and explore on your own.

Day 6 | Free day in Santorini. Enjoy another day at leisure. Tonight join us for the farewell dinner, Greek Style! (Included).

Day 7 | Check Out or Extend Further Fly from Santorini to Athens and connect with your departure flight back home.
