TOUR INCLUSIONS AND CONDITIONS:

Services of a full-time, experienced guides. Round trip economy airfare from Los Angeles via QANTAS or AIR NEW ZEALAND or other airline of Tour Operator's choosing. Meals and other services are included on this 14 hour international flight. Your tour captains will be on hand to ensure your needs are met while in-flight and the QANTAS flight crew is unbeatable. Airport departure taxes, customs and security fees, including Australian International Departure tax. Quality, clean hotels throughout Australia, based on double occupancy. Comprehensive daily sightseeing per itinerary via private deluxe motorcoach with experienced, local driver. Full, hot breakfast daily; lunches and dinners included per itinerary. Admission & entrance fees to all sightseeing as detailed per itinerary. Round trip airport/hotel transfers and porterage (one suitcase per person). All tipping (driver, restaurant, hotel and guide staff). Queenslander International flight bag and luggage tags.

Travel documents are your responsibility including compliance with customs' regulations. Queenslander associates or staff may not change the terms under which you agreed via payment of tickets or other travel documents. Tickets must be purchased 60 days prior to departure. If you cancel or change your reservation for any reason after purchase of ticket, a cancellation fee of 100% of the ticket price will be charged by the airline.

LODGING & ACCOMMODATIONS: Tour prices are per person, based on two persons sharing double or twin-bedded room with private bathroom with tub or shower. Single rooms subject to availability and at an additional cost (tour participants without a roommate will have to pay the single room surcharge). Hotels used are Superior First Class and Luxury Class categories.

MEALS AND BEVERAGES: Full, hot breakfast daily. Lunches and dinner included per itinerary. Coffee or tea included with breakfast only; all other beverages are extra.

BAGGAGE HANDLING: A maximum of two bags per person with a combined length, width and height of 106 inches (economy class) and 124 inches (first class), provided no bag exceeds 62 inches; plus "under seat" baggage, with total dimensions of 45 inches. A free weight allowance of 44 lbs. (economy class) and 66 lbs. (first class) applies. Excess baggage will be charged at the established rates. However, due to limited motor coach capacity we urge our tour members to carry only one bag per person. Porterage for this bag is included in the tour price. If a second piece of luggage is carried, an additional fee will be collected at the time of handling. Excess baggage charges from the airlines and motor coaches are the passenger's responsibility. Certain fees may be assessed if using more than one bag.

SERVICE CHARGES AND TAXES: All departure taxes and tipping are included. INSURANCE: Acting only as agents for suppliers, QUEENSLANDER INTERNATIONAL is not responsible for damage, loss, or theft of luggage and/or personal belongings, or for personal injury, accident and/or illness. For protection, it is important that you have adequate insurance to cover these possibilities. Additional information and application forms for these types of coverage will be supplied you prior to departure.

PASSPORTS: A valid passport is required and must be obtained in person by each tour member at a local passport office. VISAS: As of June 1998, a visa or ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) is required for entry into Australia. A visa is not required for entry into New Zealand. Information and instructions for applying for a visa or ETA will be provided to tour participants in ample time prior to departure. Any fees for visas, ETA's, or handling has not been included in the tour price.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Depart Los Angeles International (LAX)
Arrive Los Angeles Int'l Airport. Queenslander guides will meet you at your arrival gate for transfer to group orientation at the Sheraton LAX. Group check-in QANTAS flight at 8:15 p.m. for departure to Sydney at 10:15 p.m.

Cross the International Dateline.
This day will be "lost" as we cross the International Dateline. We will regain this day on our return.

Day 2- Sydney | Harbour Walkabout
BLD. Arrival into Sydney and transfer to our hotels (see hotel classifications in column to left). After check-in, join your guide for a walkabout of the Circular Quay and historic Rocks district. Your guides are knowledgeable on local customs, history and shoppes! The historic Rocks district comes alive as you walk where the original Sydney settlers and convicts walked. For lunch, we board our catamaran from Sail Ventures for a delightful harbor cruise. Enjoy a delicious Australian smorgasbord while sailing. The harbor provides incredible views of the Opera House, the Prime Minister's residence, and more.

Day 3 - Sydney | Blue Mountains Optional Excursion
BLD.  Today enjoy a drive with sights to the Blue Mountains around Sydney. Stunning and at times breathtaking views of the natural raw beauty that is Australia or explore Sydney on your own.

Day 4 - Sydney | Free Day
Today enjoy Sydney on your own or opt for an excursion.

Day 5 - Sydney to Melbourne
BD. This morning after a hearty breakfast, we're off to Melbourne. Welcome to cosmopolitan Melbourne and gateway to the Yarra Valley wine region. Upon arrival, check in to our hotel, freshen up and enjoy an afternoon walkabout. Tonight, enjoy dinner together.

Day 6 - Melbourne | Parliament to Penguins
B. After breakfast, we enjoy sightseeing to Parliament House and the Shrine of Remembrance - which honors Australia’s war heroes. We will visit the exotic Fitzroy Gardens. If Opals are your thing, then you're in store for a treat as we visit a nearby opal company that will highlight how they are mined. We travel to Phillip Island to see the world-famous Penguin Parade.

Day 7 - Melbourne | Free Day
B. Full day for you to explore on your own. Perhaps a visit to the Yarra Valley wineries is an option.

Day 8 - Melbourne to the Outback | Ayer's Rock/Uluru
BD.  Morning departure for Ayer's Rock and the Australian Outback. Arrive early afternoon and transfer to our deluxe hotel, Sails in the Desert, located in the heart of Ayer's Rock Resort. Time this afternoon to freshen up and take an arvo's rest. At dusk we'll head for the Red Center for a spectacular evening under the stars at the award-winning Sounds of Silence restaurant where we'll dine on gourmet Australian barbecue of Australian delicacies and then sit back and take in the mystery of the Australian Outback.

Day 9 - Sunrise at the Rock | Uluru
BD.  This morning you have an option of climbing the Rock or watching an impressive display of color as the sun rises! It's a brisk morning but well worth it to experience Ayer's Rock up close. After our time at the rock, we are lead in a walkabout around a part of the base of the rock. Afternoon we hop over to the coast to prepare for the Great Barrier Reef and Tropical Far North Queensland! Arrive our hotel and freshen up before dinner together.

Day 10 - Cairns | Kuranda | Tjapukai
BD. Welcome to Cairns, where the rainforest meets the reef. Today we're off to experience the contrast of this region's oldest and most unique picturesque railway via Kuranda Railways. Enjoy the shops of Kuranda and the Saturday Market for great savings on Australiana. Afterwards we take the SkyRail gondola for incredible treetop views of the rainforest (is that the ocean in the distance?) to the Tjapukai Aboriginal Culural Park located at the base of the mountain by the Caravonica Lakes; where we learn in-depth about the native Australians. Late afternoon return and we're back at our hotel. Join the tour family for dinner at the Silver Dragon.

Day 11 - Great Barrier Reef
B.  Morning worship is an option for you. Early morning worship assembly and then we're off to see the Great Barrier Reef up close! Today enjoy a full-day tour of the Great Barrier Reef - complete with glass bottom boats and snorkeling - get this close to the technicolor banks of coral reef teeming with tropical fish. This experience is one which makes a lasting impression on Queenslander patrons - if at all possible, you must try snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef - all Queenslander guides are American Red Cross certified lifeguards - so there's 'no worries, mate!

Day 12 - Free Day | At Your Leisure
Enjoy a Free Day at your leisure.

Day 13 - Port Douglas Day Tour
This morning join your Tour Captain for a leisurely drive northward to Port Douglas. Enjoy Far North Tropical Queensland. Lunch on our own, ample opportunity for photography, beautiful ocean drive. Return mid to late afternoon. Freshen up and join the tour family in the lobby for transfer to our Farewell Gala.

Day 14 - Extend your stay in Australia or visit New Zealand | Or return to the states and cross the International Dateline and arrive home same day.
